About Us
Company origins
Stuart Ross (MD) had decades of experience in driving improvement when he came across Lean in the mid 90s. He then spent several years studying in the UK, Japan and America where he absorbed knowledge from experts in the field. Stuart identified a way of combining these Lean principles with his existent passion for fully involving the people in organisations. In the Summer of 2008 he formed Ross International to make a difference.
The team
Our team has experience across all sectors including manufacturing, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, logistics, local authorities and the NHS. Although the majority of our clients are UK based we have facilitated events in mainland Europe, the United Arab Emirates, the USA and China. We work with all sizes of organisations from SMEs with fewer than 50 people to multinationals, large local authorities and health boards. Our resultants have a down to earth, hands on approach and are quick to understand your needs and identify areas where we can help you.
Our goal
Our main business purpose has developed to the point where we are now largely focused on helping organisations to train their own facilitators and become self sufficient in running Kaizen Blitz/Rapid Improvement Events. By encouraging the spread of continuous improvement practices we hope to increase the efficiency, working conditions and customer satisfaction in all sectors of the UK economy.
Product evolution
All organisations face their own unique challenges. We offer several core services but we pride ourselves on listening to what our clients want and then tailoring these services to suit. A recent example of this occurred after clients being trained as facilitators expressed an interest in being accredited for their learning. To meet this demand we formed links with a university to build a professional development route for these people. This accreditation programme will recognise their achievements to date and will encourage them to continue learning which will further benefit themselves, their organization, and ultimately the economy as a whole.
Continuous Improvement is not just something we train others in. It is one of our core values. |
