Accreditation

Introduction

The major benefit from accreditation of learning is the results it produces. Candidates for qualifications are set assignments which are then assessed. Emphasis within the accreditation process is placed on what was done and the results achieved, with assessment across three sets of criteria, namely Knowledge, Application and Results. This provides a means to apply learning, develop results from it and gain positive, developmental feedback that enhances both.

Proven benefits of the accreditation process

  • Systematic and measurable process ensures participants apply their new skills and knowledge to specific issues and achieve results above prior expectations
  • Results are delivered during the learning process
  • Ongoing feedback and coaching following on from assessments reinforces learning, encourages application and maximises the potential for results
  • Participants are able to evaluate their own activities and results systematically and on an ongoing basis
  • Self-sufficiency is developed in implementation of Lean techniques, positioning participants to achieve practical results in other areas
  • The learning process and the standards attained are quality assured externally, by the Institute of Leadership and Management

Accredited Facilitators

We specialise in training others to become competent Kaizen Blitz/Rapid Improvement Event facilitators. It is possible to stop at this level of training without accreditation. If you would like to go a step further and have your efforts recognised by an awarding body we can facilitate that for you. We are currently working with Napier University, The Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) & ibp academy to develop a route to professional qualifications.

Meeting the requirements of the Ross International Facilitator Training Programme will enable people to gain accreditation from ILM. Should a candidate wish to go further this ILM accreditation will be accepted by Napier University as being worth half the points needed for entry into the Napier University run Post Graduate Diploma in Leading Rapid Improvement. Completion of a Post Graduate Diploma will allow access to the Napier University MSc in Leading Rapid Improvement.

The new programme will be launched, by all parties involved in its development, at the Public Leadership Conference, SECC on 22 nd April 2008.
