Services

Customers and organisations in all sectors continually strive for increased productivity, faster response times, better quality of goods and services, higher morale and better working conditions. Of course all of this is expected at lower cost.

Thinking Lean

With Lean Thinking we have the potential to address all these expectations simultaneously. The Lean approach was developed in manufacturing by Toyota. Many organisations including Ross International have since demonstrated the robustness of these Lean principles for use in any situation where you have people working in processes. A recent example of this is the growing use of Lean in the NHS. Even in this extremely complex environment the principles work and have been seen to make a positive difference to the lives of both patients and staff.

The introduction of Lean into an organisation must be approached in the right way and with the commitment of all involved. The generation of rapid sustainable results can only be achieved when individuals in the organisation feel reassured that the introduction of Lean will be a positive step forward. Initial scepticism is normal but the opportunity is there to fully engage the workforce in Lean thinking and practice for the benefit of everyone.

Kaizen Blitz is a Rapid Improvement Event

The core of our approach is the Kaizen Blitz Week. For the NHS we use the term Rapid Improvement Event (RIE). Both methods are identical. There is a long lead into the event week and a structured follow-through to guarantee that every event will deliver to or above expectations.

We will facilitate you through this process but we also specialise in training members of your staff to be able to run improvement events. This will allow you to become self-sufficient and encourage the spread of the Lean throughout your organisation.

A way of life

Lean is a philosophy, backed up by a whole range of proven tools and techniques which increase your efficiency by improving flow and eliminating waste in your processes. The secret is in getting your own people to understand these principles and apply them to make life better for their customers, themselves and for the organisation.

We believe in our approach and are proud of the testimonials we have received from our clients, many of whom we continue to support.
